DOA Without interaction your virtual programs are Dead on Arrival. Let’s face it, PowerPoint and audio narration leave a great deal to be desired. Bring your virtual programs back to life with LOLA’s: Live Online Learning Activities.

Increasingly organizations are conducting training webinars instead of face-to-face workshops. Webinars are more cost-effective (which is a polite way of saying cheap) than face-to-face sessions because they save on the travel costs, especially if the employees are located in different parts of the country or different parts of the world. Webinars are also fairly easy to set up without the need for new hardware. Once a webinar is set up, there is no major additional cost for additional participants.

Many trainers don’t like to conduct webinars and a few refuse to train in this fashion. Their basic complaint is that webinars deprive them of immediate facial feedback and prevent them from conducting experiential activities.

Fighting the trend is futile and needless!

Replacing classroom sessions with webinars is the definite trend in the training industry.

Learn the techniques to increase and improve interactivity in webinars from the gamemaster himself - Dr. Sivasailam Thiagarajan – affectionately known to all of us as Thiagi

Learn how to:

  • Avoid death-by-PowerPoint data dumps
  • Encourage two-way communication
  • Create a successful environment of engagement for yourself and your participants

Thiagi is a specialist in designing and delivering interactive experiential activities in training classrooms. For the last decade, he has explored and adapted these activities to the webinar environment. And while it is true that not all face-to-face activities can be ported to a webinar session, there are many creative techniques for adapting classroom activities to a webinar. And there are some training techniques (example: instant polling) that could be conducted more effectively in a virtual classroom than in an actual classroom.

In this program, he shares these discovered creative techniques adapting classroom activities to a webinar.

Come and join us for this hour long presentation during the BizSIG where you will discover the power of games, magic, stories, and graphics.

Please note: Thiagi will be presenting virtually and will not be onsite at ATD-OC.

Pre-Thiagi: Room Setup and "Working the Room: Savvy Socializing in Person and Online"

Hybrid sessions involve both onsite and virtual participants. Currently there are technology limitations regarding software and equipment for the budget level of many organizations.

In this experiment, we will show you the effect of lighting on webcam images and considerations for setup when producing a hybrid program. And just to make the best use of your time, we will be covering the skills of “Working the Room: Savvy Socializing in Person and Online.

Our crew for this program will be onsite.
