Lynn Nissen

There was no one to run programs in 2021, and that put at risk the chapter monthly learning events, but Lynn stepped up and took on the VP Programs role for the entire year in addition to being the chapter President Elect. She built a team of program managers, providing leadership that reflected positively on the chapter, and consistently delivered an event once a month that aligned with the ATD capability model. Lynn demonstrated true commitment to the chapter, its members, the BOD and also to ATD national.

Spotlight Award

This award serves to recognize volunteers who have consistently offered their time and skills to support our Chapter.  Designated in 2021, this award was created to recognize special volunteers who have continued to support the Board and Chapter despite challenges experienced during unprecedented times.

Sam Girgis

For the past two years, Sam has volunteered with the Marketing and Talent Management teams to assist with marketing of special events on social media.  Sam has served as VOM Manager, reaching out to VOMs to collect their bio, picture, and created the recognition posts on social media.  He has also kept up with daily postings on social media to help bring awareness of ATDOC.  Lastly, Sam has helped to train new Marketing members.

For the last two years, Melissa has been the leader on the social media team, taking the reins from Cecilia. Melissa is the first one to respond to emails and get things done. She has helped train new committee members, and brings fresh ideas to the program. Further, she will no longer be on the committee in 2022, so will be the last time we can highlight her.
