CPTD Multi-Chapter Study Group Moderator

Activity

  • Moderate study sessions on Tuesdays (4:30 PM – 5:30 PM) during the 12-week cohort blocks in the Spring and Fall

Skills Needed

  • CPTD Certification is required

Your participation waives the $100 participation fee for ATD-OC members.

If this position is not filled, our chapter members have to pay $100 to participate in the study group.

Career Transition Special Interest Group (SIG) Coordinator
(3 to 5 hours per month)

Benefits

By serving in this role, you will gain direct experience to highlight on your resume and in job interviews, including:

  • Instructional Design & Delivery: Real-world experience designing agenda flows, facilitating adult learning sessions, and running interactive virtual breakout rooms.
  • Project Management: End-to-end program delivery, timeline tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Professional Networking: Opportunities to connect with local L&D professionals, guest speakers, and chapter leaders.
  • Portfolio Materials: Opportunities to design session decks, participant job aids, and workshop collateral for your personal L&D portfolio.

Activity

  • Program Planning & Coordination: Assist in organizing monthly virtual and in-person meetings, maintaining the SIG event calendar, and tracking participant engagement.
  • Speaker & Guest Management: Reach out to L&D guest speakers, coordinate presentation logistics, and manage brief pre-session prep calls.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Assist with monthly sessions, meeting logistics (Zoom tools, breakout rooms, slide decks), and small-group activities as needed.
  • Content & Resource Curation: Help curate and share practical resources for job seekers, including ATS resume tips, eLearning portfolio frameworks, and L&D industry trends.
  • Member Engagement: Welcome new members, manage session follow-ups and post-surveys, and foster an encouraging peer community.

Skills Needed

  • Strong interest in or active transition into the learning and talent development field.

  • Organized, reliable, and committed to supporting peers navigating career transitions.

  • Comfortable using virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams) and collaboration tools (e.g. Miro, Google Workspace, or Canva).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
