How you begin and end your training sessions is critical to your success as a facilitator. An effective opening can set a tone of enthusiasm and anticipation, help you quickly engage participants, and establish the level of comfort essential to creating open discussion. Similarly, a strong closing leaves the participants with a sense of closure and a clear understanding of the value they gained from their experience.

In this workshop, we’ll cover a variety of opening and closing options for you to add to your facilitator “toolbox.”

At this SIG event you will:

  • Learn various methods of opening and closing your next training session.
  • Practice and experience techniques used by the workshop facilitator.
  • Share your own “go to” opening and closings with others.
