Women account for half the U.S. Labor force and 60% of college graduates in U.S. and Europe. Yet, women hold only 5.0% of CEO positions at S&P 500 companies.  In addition, emotional intelligence has been found to be a key aspect of leadership effectiveness. EQ assessment have found men and women to be strong in different areas, and these differences often advantage men and disadvantage women at work.

Further, men and women are raised in different “cultures.” This begins at birth and carries into the workplace. As a result, we approach virtually every aspect of business differently. Different approaches result in different perceptions, which have a significant impact on promotion.

The goal of this workshop is to provide awareness and help participants apply knowledge of these topics to address both perception and promotion, as well as leverage talent and diversity & inclusion. This will be achieved through a variety of exercises and discussion with both large and small groups, in a fun and interactive format. At the culmination of the workshop, participants will understand recent research, have a greater awareness of EQ and gender culture differences, and new tools to help them advance in their careers and improve their skills as leaders.

As training professionals, it's essential to understand the issues that keep women from advancing as part of your leadership development and talent management strategies. This session is based on the best-selling book, "The Power of Perception: Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and the Gender Divide." Each attendee will receive an autographed copy.
