September’s meeting will be a “micro-conference” of at least three Special Interest Group leaders sharing their passion and experiences with you. There will also be informal networking with drinks and appetizers.

Upon registration, you will be required to indicate acceptance of our
Photography Release that appears at the bottom of this page.

Micro-session topics:

Timing is Key  (Trainers' SIG)

Have you ever attended—or maybe led—a presentation or training session where time got away from the facilitator?  Anyone who facilitates anything needs a good sense of what a minute feels like...and what two minutes, three minutes, five minutes and so forth feel like as well.  And we also need the ability to accomplish our goals no matter how—or how often—the time frames they’re working within shift.  Come work with us on this skill.

Presenters:

Becoming a Successful Change Leader (Change Leaders)

Mastering organizational change requires key competencies in a change leader.  Whether you follow McKinsey, Deloitte, KPMG or HBR, you know that change leaders must embrace emotional intelligence, change management knowledge and skills, and business acumen.  In 2020, we will dig deeper into these core competencies of change leadership to further develop your professional expertise.

Presenters:

Alternatives to the Creative Cloud (Training & Technology)

While the cost associated with Adobe's Creative Cloud is well worth it for graphic and marketing professionals, they are a bit expensive for those of us who use the products sparingly within our training content.  For those of you who want to modify the rare vector image or edit the occasional photo, fear not!  There are some tools that can support both our needs and our budget.  We'll share them here.

Developing the Leadership Pipeline (Training Managers Meetup)

Developing a leader throughout their career requires several shifts in mindset, skills, and metrics as their span of influence expands. Explore the different levels of leadership, what is required at each, and how to prepare leaders to be successful at each level.

Get to know Your Special Interest Groups!

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) complement our general chapter learning events by offering  meetings where people with a specific area of expertise or interest can get together and be more laser-focused in their learning and networking.

Some of our SIGs even develop group projects in specific areas related to Talent Development.

Join us for this Micro-Conference experience to get a glimpse into how to quickly increase your knowledge and enhance your network connections through these specialized groups.

EXTRA SPECIAL BONUS: All attendees will be entered into an opportunity drawing to win an ATD Certification Course (some of these courses are $1000!). Must be present to win.
