Our learners have changed. We can’t afford to solely focus on business impact and performance. We now serve an audience made of consumers. These consumers are used to incredible experiences and we have to find a way to ensure our solutions have a way to cut through the noise and gain our learners' attention, all while maintaining the integrity of our instructional design.

This requires a new set of tools, methods, and skills around experience design.

This workshop is designed to help you identify those tools, practice using them, and put together a plan to apply those tools when you get back to your job.

Application On The Job:

  • Explore how our learners have changed and the way that changes our roles as learning professionals
  • Identify the processes for empathy interviewing, write scripts, and conduct interviews
  • Create a script for persona development, gather inputs, and put them together into something your team can use during design
  • Identify the pieces of a learning journey map and build out a sample journey map
  • Create a script for usability testing your courses, systems, and experiences and what to do with the input you get

Facilitated by:

Matthew Daniel, who will send his bio over the closer we get to the event.
