The recent pandemic is just another example of L&D departments being undervalued. Many departments were gutted to reduce "expenses" for the benefit of the organization.
Incredulously, leadership believes the employees returning are the employees they knew 4 years ago – if you look at the small amount of investment dollars allocated for L&D in current budgets.
While the perception of L&D as an expense continues, now is a perfect time for demonstrating L&D’s value as an investment in the greatest resource an organization has at its disposal – the employees.
