Even outstanding learning and development efforts will be limited unless senior management commits to a learning vision and culture. Ventura Foods has proven it is committed to learning and development.

Last year, Ed Rodriquez, VP of Organizational and Leadership Development for Ventura Foods, shared with ATD-OC how they achieved success with their Staying Sharp Initiative by securing executive sponsorship, establishing a clear link to the organization’s strategy and vision, and taking a leadership approach.

Peter Fisher, Vice President of Field HR at Ventura Foods, shares the implementation of leadership competencies at Ventura Foods and the integration of those competencies into its performance management system. Peter will share the lessons learned and attendees will learn how to start the competency development process and put these competencies into action at their respective organizations.

Attendees are provided:

  • A view of the materials that Ventura Foods developed to implement its leadership competency model.
  • Key design and implementation elements invaluable to anyone looking to design similar competencies or elevate their current competencies.
  • Answers to guide competency development in their workplace
  • The steps to take to ensure a successful implementation of organizational competencies

Through the program, Peter gives a clear roadmap to apply this knowledge in any organization. In doing so attendees learn, and can easily refer back to the roadmap in the future.
