How can we carry that high level of engagement into blended/hybrid onsite-online environments? An ever-expanding array of free or low-cost social media and online broadcast tools (e.g., Twitter, Google Hangouts, Google Docs, and Zoom) provide opportunities to seamlessly carry onsite interactions into online interactions, and extend the reach of online interactions back to onsite activities, but how can we use them effectively?
This highly interactive session will explore how we can foster learner participation through rethinking our ideas about blended learning, exploring blended learning opportunities, and seeing how the use of social media tools can connect otherwise unavailable presenters with members onsite and online. We will leave with a clearer picture of how to reach learners with learning opportunities that provide concrete, positive, measurable results, and with plenty of ideas about how to immediately put lessons learned to use in our workplaces.
