In this session we will explore a simple process for designing effective virtual learning workshops, share best practices in stimulating two-way dialog throughout a session, and finally describe different activities and technology tools that can be substituted for in-person live exercises. Whether using Zoom, Google Meet or another platform, come prepared to contribute and learn new ideas that you can apply immediately to ensure you make learning as relevant and hands-on as possible.

This will be a highly interactive session, supported by a participant workbook. We will encourage all participants to have cameras and sound in order to demonstrate in the session the skills and techniques we are advocating. This is not about how to use Zoom – this is about how to use any technical platform as a learning tool.
Introduction: In the Introduction we will demonstrate how to establish engagement and psychological safety, while also clarifying the key responsibilities of a facilitator for virtual learning.

Susan specializes in customizing content and then training internal facilitators to deliver this content with such customers as Oracle, Vans, PUMA, Nautica and Google. She recently rolled out a global certification program to a global sportswear distributor which comprised 14 virtual workshops, five live training days, individual one-on-one coaching sessions with every Facilitator, and an internal mentoring program.
