The day has come to abandon the notion of Change Management and instead move to Change Mastery.

The words change management themselves sound and feel controlling and top down. The idea of burning platforms and concept of change because of pain can now be replaced with action inspired by passion and collective wisdom. It is time to believe in and trust our people to be the source of innovation; to believe they have the capacity to achieve change we did not believe was even possible. When we create the space and allow people the freedom of choice, they will make responsible and inspired decisions. We will be able to move beyond fixing and instead tap into the zone where possibility and creation flourish. This describes CHANGE MASTERY. We know how to do this.

Many have been harnessing this power by employing Appreciative Inquiry in their change efforts for decades. For those who know it, it has become a standard for change. It is a place where hope and passion prevail over pain, control, fear and disappointment. About the Presenter:

Tenny Poole is a principal of Corporation for Positive Change, founder and principal of the West Coast Center for Positive Change. She specializes in achieving positive change as well as management and human resources consulting. Tenny is a master consultant and facilitator using Appreciative Inquiry. She spent 30 years pursuing her passion for delivering top quality human resources services. During Tenny’s 10 years as Vice President of HR for Experian Americas Credit business she used appreciative inquiry to further the performance of technical, software development, purchasing and HR functions among others. During her tenure at Experian she was instrumental in the “Transformation of Human Resources” project that redesigned the HR function to deliver strategically focused HR services. Also while at Experian, Tenny was responsible for the HR work to open Experian’s off-shoring center in Santiago, Chile and provided the initial HR support for Experian’s successful business expansion into Latin America and Canada. Tenny was selected the 2000 Human Resources Executive of the Year by the Orange County Affiliate of the National Human Resources Association. This recognition was for her work in accelerating culture change, developing her HR team, and implementing new human resources strategies at Experian. Tenny continues her work in the field of Appreciative Inquiry, Positive Change and transformational leadership.
